Indications: MRSA dragerschap of sterk vermoeden op- of bewezen cefazoline-allergie of eerdere ernstige ‘delayed type’ allergie op een ß-lactam antibioticum

General comments

 

Aangepaste dosis bij overgewicht

Cefazoline bij patiënten met een BMI > 40 en/of > 120 kg: 3 gram cefazoline preoperatief; bij herhaling kan 2 gram worden gegeven.

 

Herhaalde profylaxe

Een hernieuwde dosering perioperatieve antibiotische profylaxe is nodig bij een operatieduur van > 2 keer de halfwaardetijd van het antibioticum (voor cefazoline bij operatieduur > 3-4 uur) of bij bloedverlies van > 1500 ml.
